A delegation representing the Khatik community of Haryana, led by the Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare, and Antyodaya (Sewa), Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi, met with Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini in Chandigarh today. During the courtesy call, the delegation formally invited the Chief Minister to serve as the Chief Guest at the upcoming state-level celebration of Sant Shiromani Durbal Nath Maharaj Ji’s birth anniversary, which will take place in Hisar on September 6, 2025.
The delegation expressed their appreciation to the Chief Minister for the state government’s support under the guiding principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas.” They noted that the government has allocated 781.82 square meters of land in PLA Sector, Hisar, to the Sant Durbal Nath Shiksha Samiti Khatik Samaj at official rates for social, religious, and educational purposes.
They also requested the Chief Minister to not only attend the celebration but also lay the foundation stone for development work on the newly allotted site.
In response, Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini praised the Khatik community’s efforts to promote social upliftment and unity. He highlighted the Haryana Government’s commitment to fostering harmony through the “Sant-Mahapurush Samman Vichar evam Prasar Yojana,” a scheme launched to spread the teachings and values of saints and great personalities. He stated that the birth anniversaries and important days of revered figures from all communities are now observed at the state level to promote inclusivity and unity. He reaffirmed the government’s dedication to the welfare and development of every section of society.
The delegation included Sh. Raghubir Singh Badgujar (President, Sant Durbal Nath Shiksha Samiti, Hisar), Sh. Pooran Chand Panwar, Sh. Ramesh Ratvaya, Sh. Thakar Dutt Panwar, Sh. Nekram Baswala, Sh. Saliram Chandel, Sh. Sher Singh Khanna, Dr. Satpal Chawla, Prof. Surender Badgujar, Advocate Sumit Meni, Sh. Pravesh Kumar, and other members of the committee.
