AAP MLA Kuldeep Kumar met protesting Blinkit delivery partners in Delhi and sought a fair probe into payment cuts and alleged ID deactivation.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Kuldeep Kumar met delivery partners protesting at Blinkit’s Kotla store in Trilokpuri and raised concerns over the issues reportedly faced by gig workers.
According to Kuldeep Kumar, the protesting delivery partners told him that their delivery charges had been reduced considerably in recent days, affecting their earnings. The workers reportedly said they work for around 12 to 15 hours a day, yet are finding it difficult to manage household expenses because of the alleged reduction in their income.
Delivery Partners Raise Concerns Over Reduced Charges
Kuldeep Kumar said the delivery partners shared their concerns regarding the payment structure during his visit to the protest site.
The AAP MLA highlighted the alleged impact of reduced delivery charges on workers who depend on delivery-based employment for their livelihood. He said the concerns raised by the workers deserve to be examined seriously and addressed through a transparent process.

Workers Allege IDs Were Deactivated
Some of the protesting delivery partners also alleged that their IDs were deactivated after they raised concerns about their working conditions. They further claimed that they were threatened with removal from work for speaking up.
Kuldeep Kumar called for an impartial examination of these allegations and said that any delivery partner who has faced unfair action should receive an appropriate resolution.

The allegations made by the workers have not been independently verified.
Kuldeep Kumar Seeks Transparency From Blinkit Management
The AAP MLA urged Blinkit management to investigate the complaints raised by the delivery partners. He called for greater transparency in the payment system and demanded that any instance of alleged unfair treatment be examined.
Kuldeep Kumar also stressed that workers should be able to raise legitimate concerns without facing unfair treatment because they have spoken about their problems.
Appeal to Delhi Government Over Gig Workers’ Rights
Kuldeep Kumar also appealed to Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta to ensure protection of the rights of gig workers and delivery partners.
He urged the Delhi government to pay attention to complaints raised by workers and ensure effective implementation of applicable labour-related rules.
Gig Worker Issues Come Into Focus
The incident has brought renewed attention to concerns surrounding gig workers, including payment structures, working hours, employment security and grievance mechanisms.
Delivery partners form an important part of the app-based delivery ecosystem, but questions around their earnings and workplace protections have increasingly become part of public discussion.
