Lok Sabha Elections: In Rajasthan, the first round of voting for 114 candidates will take place at about 23,000 polling places, with up to 25.4 million people entitled to cast ballots.
In the first two hours of voting in 12 of Rajasthan’s 25 seats up for election in the first round of the Lok Sabha elections on Friday, a turnout of 10.67% was registered.
Between 7 and 9 a.m., Ganganagar recorded the highest attendance (14.14%), followed by Alwar (12.03%). Dausa had the lowest percentage of attendees (9.70%). Voting had to go on until six o’clock that evening.
In Rajasthan, the first round of voting for 114 candidates will take place at around 23,000 polling places in the following districts: Churu, Nagaur, Ganganagar, Jhunjhunu, Bikaner, Sikar, Jaipur Rural, Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Karauli-Dholpur, and Dausa. Up to 25.4 million people are entitled to vote.

Approximately 75,000 law enforcement officers have been assigned as part of the security measures. In Rajasthan’s first voting round, up to 10,000 polling places have been identified as sensitive polling places.
In Rajasthan, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won both the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections. It secured 24 seats in 2019 and all 25 seats in 2014. In the state, the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party secured one seat in 2019.
