CM Yogi Adityanath reviews Lucknow coaching centre fire incident, orders swift rescue operations and ensures medical aid for injured students.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday took immediate cognisance of a fire incident at a coaching centre in the Aliganj area of Lucknow and directed senior officials to reach the spot without delay and closely monitor relief efforts.
According to an official statement from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), CM Yogi Adityanath instructed the administration to expedite rescue and relief operations to ensure the safe evacuation of all those trapped inside the building. He also ordered that proper medical treatment be provided to the injured on priority.
The CMO further stated that the Chief Minister has directed officials to maintain strict vigilance at all levels and ensure continuous monitoring of the rescue operation. He emphasized that no negligence will be tolerated in handling the situation.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, speaking on the ongoing rescue efforts, said that fire brigade teams have made significant progress in controlling the situation. He noted that heavy smoke inside the building was hampering visibility, but multiple entry points have been created and search operations are being conducted room by room.
He further added that emergency arrangements, including ambulances and medical teams, have been deployed at the site. “Our priority is to ensure the safe evacuation of all children. Doctors have been called in, and first aid facilities have been arranged on-site,” Pathak said.
Officials confirmed that ventilation measures, including exhaust fans, have been installed to clear smoke and assist rescue teams. Authorities also stated that alternative routes have been created to access different parts of the building.
Eyewitnesses reported panic at the site after the fire broke out in a building housing a library and computer training institute. One eyewitness, Aman, said that several people were rescued, while one individual sustained serious injuries after allegedly jumping from the building in panic.
Fire department officials said that multiple individuals were feared trapped initially, but rescue operations are ongoing, and efforts are being made to ensure that everyone is safely evacuated.
Firefighters continue to battle thick smoke as they work to bring the situation under control and complete evacuation operations safely.
