Protest intensifies in Ghazipur Paper Market against proposed waste disposal plant, locals and MLA Kuldeep Kumar demand project cancellation.
East Delhi. Opposition to the proposed waste disposal plant in the Ghazipur Paper Market area of East Delhi is steadily gaining momentum, with residents continuing their protest against the project. An anger meeting was organized in the area, where a large number of locals participated and demanded the immediate cancellation of the proposed facility.
The meeting was led by MLA Kuldeep Kumar, who supported the concerns of the residents and urged the government to reconsider the project. He stated that people in the area are opposing the plan keeping in mind their health, environmental safety, and the future of upcoming generations.
Local residents expressed serious concerns that the proposed waste disposal plant could significantly increase pollution levels in the area, potentially leading to adverse effects on public health and the surrounding environment. They argued that such a project in a densely populated region could create long-term challenges.

The protest gathering witnessed participation from residents of Ghodauli village, Mayur Vihar Phase-3, Kondli, Sapera Basti, Mulla Colony, Rajveer Colony, and several other nearby localities. People came together in large numbers to raise a unified voice against the project.
MLA Kuldeep Kumar emphasized that public sentiment cannot be ignored and urged the authorities to adopt a sensitive approach. He said that public interest must remain the top priority and that any development project should be implemented only after taking local concerns into account.
Participants in the meeting warned that their agitation would continue until a favorable decision is taken. Residents stated that they will keep fighting collectively to protect the environmental quality and living conditions of their area.
