Sri Anandpur Sahib MP Malwinder Singh Kang met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to discuss key railway-related demands and infrastructure requirements concerning the Sri Anandpur Sahib Lok Sabha constituency.
During the meeting, Kang highlighted several issues aimed at improving railway connectivity and passenger convenience in the constituency. Among the key matters discussed was the proposed railway connectivity between Sri Chamkaur Sahib and Balachaur.
Railway Connectivity Between Chamkaur Sahib and Balachaur Discussed
The MP discussed the need to strengthen railway connectivity in the region and raised the Chamkaur Sahib-Balachaur railway link as an important issue.
Better connectivity between the two areas could improve transportation options for residents and support easier movement across the constituency. Kang also discussed several other railway-related projects concerning the region.

Vande Bharat Stop at Nangal Station
Another major demand raised during the meeting was a stop for the Vande Bharat Express at Nangal railway station.
Kang discussed the importance of the proposed halt in improving access to faster rail services for people living in and around Nangal and the wider Sri Anandpur Sahib constituency.
