The Punjab Mann Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is preparing to introduce a comprehensive state-level policy aimed at providing long-awaited relief to thousands of families residing in unauthorized colonies across the state.
Cabinet Minister Hardip Singh Mundian stated that the initiative is designed to protect the rights of residents who were misled into purchasing plots and homes in illegal or unapproved colonies. He emphasized that the government’s primary focus is to ensure justice, security, and dignity for affected families.
According to the minister, the upcoming policy will regularize eligible cases in a structured manner and help integrate these colonies into the formal urban development framework.
