New Delhi: Prime Video has officially announced Matka King Season 2 after the massive success of its first season. The Matka King, starring Vijay Varma, has been trending across multiple countries and continues to dominate OTT charts globally.
Following its record-breaking viewership, the platform unveiled the announcement of Matka King Season 2 along with a new poster featuring Vijay Varma’s character Brij Bhati, teasing his return with a symbolic “number 2” card.

The announcement of Matka King Season 2 comes just days after the strong performance of Season 1, which released on April 17 and is currently being streamed in over 240 countries worldwide.

According to viewership data, the series recorded 3.4 million views within the first two days of release. The show continued its strong momentum in the first week, reaching 4.5 million views, making it one of the most-watched Indian OTT releases recently.
Reports further show that between April 20–26, the series remained the most-watched title on OTT charts, followed by another 2.5 million views between April 27 and May 3. This consistent performance played a key role in the official announcement of Matka King Season 2.

Storyline of Matka King
The Matka King Season 2 storyline is expected to continue the journey of Brij Bhati, played by Vijay Varma, who rose to power in the world of illegal gambling.
The first season follows a cotton trader who enters the underground “matka” gambling world. What begins as a small-scale business gradually transforms into a powerful criminal empire, pulling him deeper into the underworld.
Strong Cast Behind Matka King
Apart from Vijay Varma, the series features a strong ensemble cast including Kritika Kamra, Sai Tamhankar, Siddharth Jadhav, Gulshan Grover and Bhupendra Jadawat in key roles.
