Punjab Minister Harpal Cheema, held meetings today with delegations from several unions
Finance Minister Harpal Cheema met with delegations from the various Art and Craft Teachers’ Unions, ETT TET Pass Adhyapak Association (Jai Singh Wala), AIE Kacche Adhyapak Union, Associate Pre-Primary Adhyapak Union, All Punjab DST/CTS Contract Instructor Union, and the Beruzgar Multipurpose Health Worker Union.
The discussions, held at his office in the Punjab Civil Secretariat, focused on listening to the concerns of union leaders, with Minister Cheema assuring them of sympathetic consideration and consulting senior officials of the concerned departments to work out solutions.
In talks with the Art and Craft Teachers’ unions, Minister Cheema encouraged the leaders to prepare a Common Minimum Program to facilitate an effective resolution. He also advised them to submit their proposals and supporting documents to the Education Department for further action. Alongside, he heard the concerns of the ETT TET Pass Teachers Association (Jai Singh Wala), AIE Temporary Teachers Union, and Associate Pre-Primary Teachers Union, directing the Education Department to address their genuine demands at the earliest.
During his interaction with the All Punjab DST/CTS Contract Instructors Union and the Beruzgar Multipurpose Health Worker Union, Cheema instructed the respective departments to act promptly on their rightful concerns.
Union representatives who put forward their demands included Sandeep Singh (President, Beruzgar Drawing Masters Sangharash Committee), Ranjit Singh (President, B.Ed PST TET Pass Arts and Craft Teachers Union), Harjinder Singh (President, Art and Craft TET Pass Beruzgar Adhyapak Union), and Rakesh Kumar (President, Beruzgar PS TET Pass Art and Craft Sangharsh Union).
Other participating leaders were Kamal Thakur (President), Sohan Singh (General Secretary), and Gurmukh Singh (Committee Member) from the ETT TET Pass Adhyapak Association (Jai Singh Wala); Tejinder Kaur (President), Kiranjeet Kaur (Secretary), and Tejinder Singh (Treasurer) from the AIE Kacche Adhyapak Union; Sukhchain Singh (President), Makhan Singh (Secretary), and Sukhbir Kaur from the Associate Pre-Primary Adhyapak Union; Sandeep Singh (President) and Jaswinder Singh (General Secretary) from the All Punjab DST/CTS Contract Instructor Union; and Sukhwinder Singh Dhilwan (President) with Raman Kumar (Convener) from the Beruzgar Multipurpose Health Worker Union.
