Minister Mahipal : State-Level programme on Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary; online portal to be launched for suggestions

Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda said that the Education department is making extensive preparations to implement the National Education Policy (NEP) in 2025 across the state. On the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on January 12, 2025 a state-level programme will be organised at Kurukshetra University (Kurukshetra), Maharshi Dayanand University (Rohtak), Ashoka University (Sonipat) and AMITY University (Gurugram). During these events an online portal will be launched, for submitting suggestions from universities, colleges, schools, and education experts.
Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda chaired a meeting with the officers of Higher Education Department, Rohtak and Kurukshetra University regarding NEP at Haryana Bhawan in Delhi today.
Minister Mahipal Dhanda said that NEP is crucial for realizing Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India. He stated that Haryana is committed to becoming a role model for NEP implementation across the country and that every effort is being made to achieve this goal. He directed officers to place suggestion boxes in schools, colleges, and universities to collect feedback from students. He also proposed organising seminars to help students understand the NEP and provide suggestions for addressing challenges. He said that a national-level roundtable conference on the NEP is scheduled for February 2025.
Director, Higher Education, Sh. Rahul Hooda and other officers remained present during the meeting.
