Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the national flag is a symbol of our freedom and sovereignty. It embodies the pride, honour, and dignity of our nation, inspiring us with a sense of patriotism at every moment. Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi had launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign during the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ in 2022, urging citizens to hoist the national flag at every home on Independence Day each year.

Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini addressed the gathering as the chief guest at a ‘Tiranga Yatra’ organised by the Police and District Administration at Pipli Police Lines on Wednesday evening.

Prior to this, Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini and Minister of State for Urban Local Bodies, Sh. Subhash Sudha, flagged off the Tiranga Yatra. The yatra passed through the main streets of the city and concluded at Dronacharya Stadium. The event was made memorable by the participation of Daredevils bikers from Madhuban Police Academy, police bikers, students from DAV Police Public School, artists from Haryana Kala Parishad, and CID SWAT team personnel.

The Chief Minister stated that the purpose of the Prime Minister’s campaign is to strengthen the spirit of patriotism among youth. This campaign has infused new energy across the country,he added.

The Chief Minister expressed happiness on seeing citizens enthusiastically participating in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign this year as well and said that the entire nation is filled with patriotic fervour. This wonderful sight not only fosters a sense of patriotism and respect for the Tiranga but also inspires future generations as well.

Under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, this Tiranga Yatra by police personnel is being held in Kurukshetra.

He appealed to all citizens to hoist the Tiranga at their homes and encourage others to do the same. The flag should be hoisted at public places such as community centres, panchayat houses, schools, health centres, libraries, dharamshalas, etc. Comprehensive arrangements have been made to ensure everyone can easily purchase a Tiranga. Citizens can buy the flag from nearby shops, depot holders, Anganwadi centres, health centres, panchayat houses, common service centres, and other community institutions. State employees to ensure the success of this campaign by hoisting the Tiranga. Volunteers from NGOs and other civic organisations should actively participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, especially involving children to instil in them a sense of patriotism and nationalism, the Chief Minister added.

Minister Sh. Subhash Sudha said through the Tiranga Yatra, the state government is paying its respects to the freedom fighters. The countless brave souls who sacrificed their lives to secure the nation’s freedom.

Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Sushil Sarwan and Superintendent of Police, Sh. J.S. Randhawa presented a sapling to Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini and Minister Sh. Subhash Sudha after the programme.

The event was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Vaishali Sharma, SDM, Sh. Surender Pal, City Magistrate, Dr. Raman Gupta, and a large number of school children, youth, and citizens also remained present.
