Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini attended the Commonwealth Games 2026 medal winners’ felicitation ceremony in Panchkula and congratulated Haryana’s athletes for their performances in Glasgow.
A total of 24 athletes received cash awards worth ₹13.97 crore for their achievements. The Chief Minister said athletes should be able to focus on representing the country without worrying about their future after their sporting careers.
Focus on Athletes’ Future
Nayab Singh Saini said the state’s sports policies aim not only to reward medal winners but also to provide athletes with respect, security and better opportunities.

He praised the athletes who raised the Indian flag in Glasgow and said their success would inspire young players across Haryana.
