Speaking at the ‘Haryana UK CETA: Trade Bridge—Unlocking Global Opportunities for Haryana’ programme, the Chief Minister said Haryana is pursuing a forward-looking strategy focused on taking its industries global.
According to Nayab Singh Saini, Haryana UK CETA represents an important milestone in the state’s efforts to strengthen international trade and create new opportunities for local businesses. He said the agreement can help Haryana-based industries gain improved access to the United Kingdom market.
Textile, Footwear and Engineering Sectors to Benefit
The Chief Minister said Haryana UK CETA could provide fresh opportunities for several key sectors, including textiles, footwear, gems and jewellery and engineering. Better access to the UK market, he said, can help businesses expand exports, reach new customers and strengthen their global competitiveness.
Saini added that Haryana is working to create a business environment that supports industrial growth and encourages companies to explore international markets. The government’s broader approach is aimed at connecting local industries with global supply chains and investment networks.
Haryana to Host Global Investors Summit in 2027
The Chief Minister also highlighted Haryana’s upcoming 60th Statehood anniversary. Haryana will complete 60 years of its formation on November 1, marking an important milestone in the state’s journey.
To commemorate the occasion and showcase Haryana’s investment potential, the state will host the Happening Haryana Global Investors Summit 2027 from April 5 to 7, 2027.
The government has set an ambitious target of attracting fresh investments worth ₹5 lakh crore by 2030-31 and generating more than 10 lakh employment opportunities. Focus on Expanding Haryana’s International Business Links
The Chief Minister said Haryana UK CETA can play an important role in expanding the state’s international business connections. He assured stakeholders that the Department of Foreign Cooperation would extend the necessary support to facilitate trade and strengthen Haryana’s engagement with international partners.
The government, he said, is committed to helping businesses explore new markets and build stronger global partnerships. The emphasis remains on increasing trade, attracting investment and generating employment through an internationally connected economy.

During the programme, Saini also invited all growth partners to participate in the International Gita Jayanti Mahotsav 2026. He said the event would provide an opportunity for international partners to experience Haryana’s cultural and spiritual heritage.
The Chief Minister said Haryana UK CETA and the state’s upcoming investment initiatives together can strengthen Haryana’s position as a destination for global trade and investment.
