Operation Sindoor: 5 Indian Soldiers Martyred, All IAF Pilots Safe
New Delhi, May 12 — In the aftermath of Operation Sindoor, a precision military operation launched by India in response to escalating hostilities along the Line of Control (LoC), the Indian armed forces have confirmed that all Indian Air Force pilots are back home safely, dismissing speculation surrounding their status after recent aerial engagements.

At a joint defence press conference held earlier today, senior officials from the Army, Navy, and Air Force provided key updates on the situation. They revealed that five Indian soldiers were martyred during Operation Sindoor, a strategic response to ceasefire violations and infiltration attempts by Pakistani forces.
As per military estimates shared during the press briefing, 35 to 40 Pakistani soldiers were killed in the operation, which involved intense cross-border engagement in multiple LoC sectors. Officials also stated that the Indian Air Force may have succeeded in downing a few enemy fighter jets, though these claims are still under assessment and awaiting confirmation.
Pro-Pakistan Rumors Busted – Indian Female Pilot Not Captured, Says Defence Ministry
Amid the developments, false claims have surfaced on social media, particularly from pro-Pakistan handles, alleging that an Indian female Air Force pilot, Squadron Leader Shivani Singh, has been captured. The Indian Defence Ministry has categorically denied these reports, stating that Squadron Leader Singh has not been captured and is safe and accounted for.
The Ministry urged citizens to refrain from spreading or believing unverified social media content, emphasizing that such misinformation is part of psychological operations aimed at creating confusion.
The nation has paid tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the soldiers lost in Operation Sindoor, while affirming its commitment to defend every inch of its territory.
