PM Modi met 45 NDA MPs over breakfast, urging calm parliamentary conduct, stronger social media outreach and unity within the NDA alliance.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a breakfast meeting with 45 National Democratic Alliance (NDA) MPs on Friday amid a heated Monsoon Session of Parliament. During the interaction, the Prime Minister reportedly asked lawmakers to maintain composure, follow the alliance’s position on issues and communicate more effectively with the public.
The PM Modi NDA MPs meeting focused on parliamentary conduct, political messaging, social media engagement and the broader identity of the NDA as a united political family.
PM Modi Advises MPs to Stay Calm
According to leaders who attended the meeting, PM Modi advised MPs not to allow the tense atmosphere inside Parliament to affect their conduct outside the House.
He reportedly asked lawmakers to avoid angry exchanges and unnecessary shouting during parliamentary proceedings. Instead, MPs were encouraged to understand the party’s position and present their arguments in a calm and measured manner.
The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of maintaining dignity while appearing on television and interacting with the public.
‘Avoid the Web of Lutyens’ Delhi’
During the PM Modi NDA MPs meeting, the Prime Minister also reportedly cautioned MPs against getting caught up in what he described as the “web of Lutyens’ Delhi.”
The advice was linked to the need for lawmakers to remain connected with people and focus on public issues rather than becoming overly influenced by political and media circles in the national capital.
The message comes at a time when political exchanges have intensified during the ongoing Parliament session.

Focus on Social Media and Youth
PM Modi also encouraged NDA MPs to strengthen their presence on social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and X.
The lawmakers were reportedly asked to use these platforms to communicate government welfare initiatives, engage with young people and encourage greater participation in sports and other activities.
The emphasis on digital outreach reflects the growing importance of social media in political communication, particularly in reaching younger audiences.
NDA Described as a ‘Family’
The PM Modi NDA MPs meeting also highlighted the alliance’s collective identity. Leaders from different political groups were present, including members associated with factions that have separated from their parent parties.
Jagdish Basunia, a leader of the Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI), described the interaction with the Prime Minister as cordial. He said Modi presented the NDA as a family working together with a common objective of public welfare and national development.
Basunia said the discussion reinforced the idea that the alliance’s constituent parties should work collectively while keeping public welfare at the centre of their political activities.
Message of Unity Amid Parliament Session
The meeting assumes significance as the Monsoon Session of Parliament continues amid political disagreements and heated exchanges between the government and Opposition.
By bringing together MPs from different NDA constituents, the breakfast interaction also provided an opportunity to reinforce coordination within the alliance.
The Prime Minister’s reported message centred on disciplined parliamentary behaviour, coordinated communication and maintaining a strong connection with citizens.
The PM Modi NDA MPs meeting therefore combined political coordination with advice on public outreach, social media engagement and the importance of presenting the alliance’s views in a composed manner.
