Safety of Indian Nationals
About one million Indians reside in the Gulf region, and PM Modi confirmed that their safety and livelihoods are a top priority. Thousands of Indians stranded due to the West Asia Crisis have been safely repatriated, and the government continues to monitor the Hormuz Strait to protect Indian crews on commercial vessels.
Energy Security and Diversification
Highlighting India’s preparedness, PM Modi explained that India has strengthened its domestic LPG production, expanded storage capacity, and increased refinery capabilities to remain insulated from the long-term impacts of the West Asia Crisis. The government continues to source energy from multiple countries, ensuring uninterrupted supplies to meet domestic demand.

Concluding his statement, PM Modi reiterated that India’s approach is centered on peace through dialogue. “Our goal is to restore stability in the region while securing India’s trade and energy interests amid the West Asia Crisis,” he said, assuring that the government is fully prepared for any eventualities.
