Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday chaired the 11th NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre in New Delhi. The NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting brought together Chief Ministers, Lieutenant Governors, Union Ministers, and senior officials from across the country to discuss key national development priorities.
The NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting was attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, along with several Chief Ministers and senior administrators.
High-Level Participation Across States
The NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting saw participation from Chief Ministers including Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, and Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, among others.
The presence of multiple state leaders made the NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting a key platform for centre-state coordination and policy alignment.

According to official statements, the NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting focused on the theme “Inclusive Human Development for Viksit Bharat @2047.” The goal is to ensure equitable development for all citizens regardless of region, gender, or socio-economic background.
During the NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting, PM Modi emphasized promoting entrepreneurship, skill development, and sustainable employment opportunities across India.

Four Pillars of Development
The Council Meeting highlighted a structured framework based on four pillars:
Foundational human capital and future-ready skills
Productive employment, entrepreneurship, and decentralised growth

Equity and dignity for all citizens
The Meeting also stressed the importance of governance reforms, Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), partnerships, and data-driven systems to ensure measurable outcomes.
Implementation Roadmap and National Alignment
A key focus of the Council Meeting was developing an implementation roadmap that aligns state-level visions with national development goals. The meeting also emphasized monitoring short, medium, and long-term outcomes for accountability.
The Council Meeting further reviewed recommendations from the 5th National Conference of Chief Secretaries, covering early childhood education, schooling, skill development, higher education, and sports.
