New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today paid tribute to the courage, precision and determination of the Indian armed forces on the completion of one year of Operation Sindoor.
Remembering the military operation, the Prime Minister said the armed forces had delivered a fitting response to those responsible for attacking innocent Indians in Pahalgam. He stated that Operation Sindoor reflected India’s firm stand against terrorism and its unwavering commitment to national security.
Operation Sindoor Showcased Armed Forces’ Strength and Coordination
In a message shared on social media platform X, PM Modi praised the professionalism, preparedness and coordinated strength displayed by the armed forces during Operation Sindoor. He said the mission also highlighted the growing jointness among the forces and demonstrated the impact of India’s push towards self-reliance in the defence sector.
According to the Prime Minister, Operation Sindoor showcased the bravery and dedication of the armed forces, making every Indian proud of their service and sacrifice.

He further said that the mission reinforced India’s determination to defeat terrorism and dismantle every ecosystem supporting it.
“Today, a year later, we remain as steadfast as ever in our resolve to defeat terrorism and destroy its enabling ecosystem,” he added.
Appeal to Citizens
As a tribute to the armed forces and the success of Operation Sindoor, PM Modi urged citizens to change their display pictures on social media platforms such as X, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp using the image shared by him.
The Prime Minister said the gesture would serve as a mark of respect for the armed forces and honour their contribution to safeguarding the nation.
The anniversary of Operation Sindoor has once again brought focus on India’s counter-terrorism efforts and the role played by the armed forces in protecting national security.
