Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann visited Jalandhar for the second time this month on Thursday and conducted a ‘Lok Milni’ programme at his residence. Thousands of residents from the city and nearby areas attended to present their grievances. CM Bhagwant Singh Mann personally listened to each concern and issued immediate instructions to officials to ensure on-the-spot resolution.
Describing ‘Lok Milni’ as an effective public grievance platform, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann highlighted that Punjab is the only state where the Chief Minister directly interacts with citizens through such comprehensive outreach initiatives. He emphasized that these programmes strengthen government-citizen communication while also serving as a tool to monitor and assess administrative performance.
Reaffirming the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government’s commitment to transparency and accountability, CM Mann assured that the ‘Lok Milni’ initiative will continue across the state to maintain people-centric governance.

Focusing on youth empowerment, the Chief Minister noted that over 63,000 jobs have been provided without corruption or favoritism. In education, Schools of Eminence have been established, featuring smart classrooms, modern laboratories, and sports facilities. Teachers and principals are being trained abroad to enhance teaching quality and prepare students for global competition.
In healthcare, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann highlighted that under the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, 65 lakh families are eligible for cashless treatment up to ₹10 lakh, while 881 Aam Aadmi Clinics provide free medical services across Punjab. He also pointed out that nearly 90% of households receive free electricity, and farmers were provided eight hours of uninterrupted daytime power during the paddy season.
CM Bhagwant Singh Mann further announced that in the upcoming state budget, a scheme will be introduced to provide ₹1,000 per month to every woman in Punjab. He assured citizens that every promise made by the government will be fulfilled, emphasizing that the progress and prosperity of Punjab and its people remain the administration’s top priority.
