Responding swiftly and decisively to the flood crisis, the Punjab Government has deployed its entire cabinet to the affected districts to directly oversee relief measures and safeguard citizens.
Punjab Government : Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has instructed all Ministers to remain on the ground until the situation stabilizes, reflecting the government’s strong commitment to a unified and effective response.
Cabinet Ministers are supervising the supply of essentials, coordinating evacuations, and addressing the urgent requirements of families displaced by the floods.
“Our foremost priority is to protect every life and property,” stated Finance Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema while reviewing the situation and issuing detailed directions to the Deputy Commissioners of Sangrur and Mansa through a conference call, stressing that no effort should be spared in assisting flood-hit communities.
Similarly, Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO monitored relief operations in Ramdas, Tarn Taran, Sri Goindwal Sahib, and Ajnala; Barinder Kumar Goyal in Ajnala and Tarn Taran; Gurmeet Singh Khuddian in Kapurthala villages; Lal Chand Kataruchak in Pathankot; Laljit Singh Bhullar in Tarn Taran; and Hardeep Singh Mundian in Sultanpur Lodhi.
The state is also working closely with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and other central agencies to strengthen rescue efforts, while prioritizing the provision of medical assistance, food, and shelter for those impacted.
