PUNJAB NEWS : Punjab Information & Public Relations Department Bids Warm Farewell to Malwinder Singh Jaggi
The Punjab Information & Public Relations Department organized a heartfelt farewell for Secretary Malwinder Singh Jaggi, a 2005 batch IAS officer, on the eve of his retirement. Mr. Jaggi, who has served with distinction for 33 years, will officially retire on March 31, 2025.
A Legacy of Dedicated Service
Mr. Jaggi began his administrative journey in 1992 as a PCS Civil Officer before being promoted to the IAS in 2005. At a special farewell function held at Punjab Bhawan, colleagues and officials shared their experiences, highlighting his dedication, efficiency, and leadership.
Expressing his gratitude, Mr. Jaggi thanked his colleagues for their support, acknowledging the unwavering commitment of the department’s officers. He lauded their work ethic and expressed hope that the same spirit of dedication would continue in the future.

Chief Minister’s OSD (Media) Adil Azmi appreciated Mr. Jaggi’s guidance and expressed hope that he would continue to share his valuable insights. Director of Information & Public Relations, Vimal Kumar Setia, praised Mr. Jaggi’s ability to overcome challenges and achieve goals, citing his impactful work in Faridkot.
Additional Director (Admin) Sandeep Singh Garha described working with Mr. Jaggi as an enriching experience, learning that no target is unattainable. Additional Director Randeep Singh Ahluwalia credited him for modernizing the department and implementing the online tendering process. Additional Director Harjit Singh Grewal commended his administrative expertise, noting that his contributions will always be remembered.
Joint Director Preetkanwal Singh extended gratitude to all attendees, while Deputy Director Manvinder Singh formally welcomed the guests, emphasizing how the department achieved new milestones under Mr. Jaggi’s leadership.
The event concluded with a formal honor presented to Mr. Jaggi, with Public Relations Officer Navdeep Singh Gill conducting the stage proceedings.
