The Punjab government under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has intensified its crackdown on tax evasion and fake billing practices across the state. In a major enforcement drive, authorities seized goods worth approximately ₹7 crore from multiple locations, including Moga, Gobindgarh, and Khanna.
Large-Scale Inspection Targets Tax Fraud
Special inspection teams conducted coordinated raids across Lohgarh, Mandi Gobindgarh, and Khanna regions. During the operation, more than 200 vehicles were checked, revealing large-scale use of fake invoices and suspected tax evasion practices.
The seized goods, valued at nearly ₹7 crore, were allegedly being used in illegal trade activities through fraudulent documentation.

₹3.5 Crore Penalty Imposed After Investigation
