Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker , Society has announced that he will donate one month’s salary to assist flood-affected people in Punjab. He said that the teachings of our Gurus inspire us to support others in times of distress. The Government is committed to leaving no stone unturned in reaching every corner of Punjab to provide aid to those in need.
He noted that the recent floods have impacted humans, animals, crops, and all forms of vegetation in the state. Urging people with a humanitarian spirit, he appealed for generous contributions—such as ration, medicines, drinking water, flour, pulses, and fodder for animals—before 2 September to help the flood victims.

Chairman Gurmeet Singh and Mehar Singh Channi added that, following the Speaker’s earlier announcement, Rs. 10 lakh has already been donated for diesel supply to reinforce river embankments.
