A preacher has been allegedly beaten to death by a group of three masked men inside a mosque in Rajasthan’s Ajmer.

The attack occurred on Saturday while the victim, 30-year-old Mohammad Mahir, was inside the mosque sleeping with six children.

At two in the morning on Sunday, three masked men stormed the mosque in Kanchan Nagar, which is under the jurisdiction of the Ramganj police station. They frightened the children, drove them out, and then attacked the cleric with sticks. Tahir passed away immediately from his wounds.

The three also took away the kids’ cell phones, preventing them from calling for assistance or telling anybody about the situation, and threatened them not to tell anyone.

However, the kids left the mosque and informed others about what had happened when the accused ran off.

In this case, a case has been filed, and the three accused are being sought after.

The police claimed that Tahir used to instruct kids in the mosque. Mohammad Mahir used to be a teacher who had only been in Ajmer for two days, according to a local.

Following their arrival in Ajmer from Uttar Pradesh, Tahir’s family members received his body, according to SHO Ramganj Ravindra Singh.

The case is now being investigated by police. Though attempts are underway to locate and apprehend the accused, no arrests have been made thus far.
