Ranji Trophy 2024: Tamil Nadu decided to take the lead and were bowled out for 146 in the first innings. They took 2 and 3 wickets respectively.
In reply, Mumbai scored 378 runs in the first innings to lead by 232 runs, leaving Tamil Nadu in agony. Despite early disappointments like the departure of Prithvi Shah and Bhupan Lalwani, Mushir Khan (55) and Hardik Tamor (35) have played important roles in the team.
However, Shardul Thakur’s brilliant century put Mumbai in a better position and earned him the man of the match award. Mumbai scored 378 thanks to Dhanush Kotian’s tough unbeaten 89 runs. Tamil Nadu captain Sai Kishore took 6 wickets.
