Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bharadwaj has raised serious concerns regarding an alleged security incident and the handling of evidence during proceedings at the Delhi High Court in connection with the Janakpuri POCSO case.
In a post shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Saurabh Bharadwaj questioned the conduct of Delhi Police officials, particularly the investigating officer (IO), alleging that the statement of the complainant’s mother was not recorded despite her presence during the incident.
Allegations Regarding CCTV Footage
Saurabh Bharadwaj also claimed that the investigating officer has refused to share CCTV footage of the incident with the complainant or their legal counsel. He called for greater transparency and accountability from the police, questioning why critical evidence is being withheld.

Incident Inside Court Premises Alleged
According to the allegations raised, the mother of a minor rape survivor reported being threatened inside the High Court premises during a hearing related to the Janakpuri school rape case. It was further alleged that she was subjected to inappropriate gestures by an individual linked to the accused, in the presence of multiple witnesses, including advocates and bystanders.
Concerns Over Repeated Delays
The case, which is being heard in connection with a challenge to bail granted in a POCSO matter, has reportedly faced multiple adjournments in recent hearings. Bharadwaj criticized the repeated delays, describing them as a setback to timely justice.
Appeal to Authorities
The AAP leader urged the Delhi Police Commissioner and the Lieutenant Governor to take immediate cognizance of the matter and ensure a fair, impartial, and transparent investigation, including the release of CCTV footage for verification.
