Shreya Kalra rules out Bigg Boss 20 as a contestant
After her Lock Upp 2 victory, fans began wondering whether Shreya Kalra would make her next reality-show appearance in Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 20. However, the winner has firmly dismissed those possibilities for now.
Speaking on her Instagram channel, Clock It With Shreya, she explained that participating in another reality show as a contestant is not on her immediate agenda. She described her experience on Lock Upp 2 as mentally exhausting and said she needs a break from the intense environment of reality television.
She jokingly compared her exit from the show to coming out of a “madhouse” and made it clear that she is currently saying no to another contestant-based reality show.
Hosting or mentoring could be an option
While Shreya Kalra has ruled out competing in Bigg Boss 20, she has not completely closed the door on being associated with the show.
The actor and content creator said she would be excited if she received an opportunity to host, mentor or take up a gang-leader-type role. According to her, such an opportunity would be much more enjoyable than going through another reality-show journey as a contestant.
For now, however, Shreya appears keen to take a step back and recover from the demanding experience of Lock Upp 2.
From controversial contestant to Lock Upp 2 winner
Shreya Kalra had a dramatic journey throughout Lock Upp Season 2. She quickly became one of the most talked-about contestants after getting into arguments with several housemates during the early days of the show.
Despite the controversies, Shreya gradually established herself as a strong player. She performed well in multiple tasks and managed to create an impact on the overall dynamics of the house.

Her journey also saw her form only a few close friendships. One of her friends was eventually evicted, while television veteran Shilpa Shinde went on to finish fourth in the competition.
Shreya’s ability to take on challenges and generate strong reactions from other contestants also earned praise during the show. Ultimately, she emerged as the winner and walked away with the trophy along with ₹1 crore in prize money.
What is happening with Bigg Boss 20?
Although the official contestant lineup for Bigg Boss 20 has not been completely revealed, several television personalities have been linked to the upcoming season through reports and speculation.
Names such as Nia Sharma, Arjun Bijlani, Karan Patel and Jannat Zubair have been rumoured to be associated with the show. However, these names should be treated as speculation until officially confirmed by the makers.
The upcoming season has already generated curiosity with its promotional material. Salman Khan’s teaser appearance, including his entry on a horse, has added to the anticipation surrounding the new season.
Bigg Boss 20 promises a different theme
The show’s promos have also hinted at an unusual concept this year. In one teaser, Salman Khan delivers a cryptic reference to Karan Arjun, while another promo introduces the idea of a special ‘vardaan’ being given to every contestant.
These hints have triggered plenty of discussion among viewers who are trying to decode what the new format could mean.
Bigg Boss 20 is scheduled to premiere on September 6 on JioHotstar and Colors. While fans may be hoping to see Shreya Kalra enter the house after her Lock Upp 2 triumph, her latest statement makes one thing clear: she is currently not ready to return to the reality-show battleground as a contestant.
