Addressing the gatherings, Sandhwan described the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Respect Bill 2026 as an “historic step” by the Punjab government. He emphasized that the primary objective of this amendment is to uphold the Maryada (code of conduct) and the supreme dignity of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
