Tata Motors has launched the much-awaited Nexon and Tata Nexon Dark Edition. These variants are still very popular due to the striking black design of the pre-facelift models. As for the price, the Tata Nexon and Nexon EV Dark is priced at Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom) while the Nexon Dark Edition is priced at Rs. 11.45 lakh (ex-showroom). Both variants have significant cosmetic changes compared to the standard variants, hence the higher prices.
Tata Nexon Dark
With its sculpted hood, elegant LED headlights and dynamic stance, the new Nexon Dark Edition showcases the SUV’s aggressive and bold potential. Its appearance is simply stunning. Stunning dark paint and unique dark badging further enhance this exceptional appearance.
The interior of the Tata Nexon and Nexon EV Dark is designed to be eye-catching with a unique all-black look and luxurious materials. Black leather seats with dark embroidery on the armrests enhance the interior.
Under the hood, the Nexon Dark Edition’s drive options remain unchanged. You can choose between a 6-speed manual, AMT or DCT with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 87bhp and 170Nm of torque. Additionally, you can choose between a 6-speed manual gearbox or an AMT with a 1.5-liter diesel engine that produces 84.5 hp and 260 Nm of torque.
When it comes to electric vehicles, the Tata Nexon and Nexon EV Dark is only available in long-range variants. This electric version uses a permanent magnet synchronous motor and delivers 215 Nm of torque and 143 horsepower. The motor is powered by a 40.5 kWh battery that has a range of 465 km.

Tata Harrier Dark and Safari Dark
Tata has also launched the Harrier and Safari Dark Edition priced at Rs 20.69 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. Many high-tech additions have been made to improve the ride quality for everyone. Notable safety upgrades include an optional driver’s knee airbag, LED daytime running lights and the iconic animation that plays when entering and exiting the vehicle.

Both cars are designed for comfort. The engine on both Tata models is a 2.0-litre KryoTech diesel engine with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. With 168 hp and 350 Nm of torque, they are impressive machines. These models feature three driving modes: Eco, City and Sport, with upgraded suspension and three terrain response modes (normal, rough and wet).
Tata Motors has promised to introduce a 1.5-litre TGDi petrol engine (168 PS/280 Nm) next to meet the needs of more consumers.
