Haryana Transport Minister Anil Vij, stated that India is renowned for its ancient and rich Sanatan culture, with the country’s sacred religious rituals and Sanatan traditions serving as the foundation of Indian culture and forming its very identity. He emphasized that the teachings of sages and saints have always guided society toward the right path, and religious rituals help overcome life’s challenges.
Minister Anil Vij made these remarks as the chief guest at the closing day of the three-day Hanuman Katha, organized at Param Siddha Peeth Sankat Mochan Dham near Mata Darwaza in Rohtak city on Sunday.
He explained that Basant Panchami is a day of enthusiasm and joy, filled with music and knowledge. It is a time for swinging, dancing, singing, and laughter, bringing happiness to others. The day also brings positive transformations in both nature and people, he noted, with the weather becoming pleasant after the harsh winter, and withered flowers beginning to bloom—symbolizing upcoming prosperity.
Transport Minister Anil Vij further remarked that God has blessed the earth with a paradise of diverse seasons, fruits, flowers, and other precious gifts. On Basant Panchami, the worship of Goddess Saraswati takes place, marking the transition from the cold to new energy, which accelerates efforts and represents prosperity in every aspect. He added that the “Amrit Varsha” shared through bhajans conveys a powerful message to follow the right path, and emphasized that maintaining a pure body and soul is the fundamental mantra of life.

In response to questions from the media during the event, Minister Anil Vij praised the Union Budget presented by Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, calling it excellent. He highlighted the reduction in taxes on household goods, which will help reduce household expenses and provide relief to the common man.
He also pointed out that the budget addressed the needs of the general public, such as increasing the Kisan Credit Card limit from three lakh to five lakh rupees, which will benefit farmers. Additionally, individuals earning up to one lakh rupees a month, including those with extra work, have been exempted from taxes, offering them significant relief.
Minister Anil Vij mentioned that the Haryana Roadways fleet is being expanded for the convenience of the citizens. The government will also provide healthy food to passengers at bus stands through tourism, with some bus stands being used as pilot projects. He assured that Haryana Roadways will be made number one, and work is underway with full dedication. He also noted that bus locations will be tracked, offering great convenience to citizens.
