A spokesperson from Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVNL) stated that, in accordance with Regulation 2.8.2, the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum will address financial disputes ranging between ₹1 lakh and ₹3 lakh. The forum for the Rohtak Zone is scheduled to convene on June 26, from 11 AM to 1 PM, in the conference hall of Rajiv Gandhi Vidyut Sadan, Sector-12, Karnal.
The spokesperson added that consumer complaints related to incorrect billing, electricity tariffs, meter security, faulty meters, and voltage issues from districts under the Rohtak Zone will be taken up during the session. However, cases involving electricity theft, unauthorized use, and electrical accidents (fatal or non-fatal) will not be entertained.
For resolution of financial disputes, consumers must deposit the disputed amount calculated either on the average bill of the past six months or the actual payable amount—whichever is lower—before submitting the case to the forum. Consumers are also required to declare that the matter is not already under consideration by any court, authority, or forum, as such cases will not be accepted during the proceedings.
The Nigam has urged consumers to take advantage of this opportunity and attend the session to get their grievances addressed.
