With a strategic focus on the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and India’s ambitious bid to host the 2036 Summer Games, Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, will preside over a high-level Chintan Shivir in Hyderabad on March 7-8.
The two-day brainstorming session at Kanha Shanti Vanam will convene sports ministers from various States and Union Territories, senior sports administrators, government officials, and industry experts to exchange insights and formulate a roadmap for India’s rise as a global sporting powerhouse. Discussions will center on improving sports governance, identifying grassroots talent, enhancing infrastructure, promoting inclusivity, and fostering collaborations.
Leading the initiative to advance Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for India’s sports development, Dr. Mandaviya will engage with stakeholders on Olympic preparations and strengthening the sports ecosystem. State representatives will showcase successful models and best practices during the sessions.

A key discussion point will be harnessing the expertise of former athletes, with Dr. Mandaviya urging states to identify top sportspersons who can transition into coaching roles, bridging gaps in training and talent development.
