UP CM Fellow Scheme offers 100-mark merit selection, age relaxation in govt jobs, training, and district-level deployment for youth in Uttar Pradesh.
The Uttar Pradesh government’s newly introduced UP CM Fellow Scheme is set to offer significant benefits to selected youth, including age relaxation in government jobs. The recruitment process under the UP CM Fellow Scheme will be fully merit-based, ensuring transparency and fair selection.
Merit-based selection under UP CM Fellow Scheme
Under the UP CM Fellow Scheme, candidates will be selected through a 100-mark evaluation system. The selection process includes 50 marks for a written examination, 30 marks for preferential qualifications, and 20 marks for the interview stage.
Officials have stated that the UP CM Fellow Scheme aims to select candidates not only based on academic qualifications but also on administrative understanding, leadership skills, and field experience.
Written exam and interview structure
The CM Fellow Scheme includes a structured written examination covering topics such as policy making, administrative awareness, current affairs, data analysis, digital governance, and problem-solving abilities.
The interview under the CM Fellow Scheme will assess communication skills, leadership qualities, and practical decision-making abilities of the candidates.

Training before deployment
As part of the UP CM Fellow Scheme, selected candidates will undergo a two-week specialized training program before being deployed across districts. This training will focus on governance systems, project monitoring, and field-level administrative work.
Age relaxation in government jobs
One of the key highlights of the UP CM Fellow Scheme is the provision of age relaxation for candidates in future government job recruitments. This benefit is expected to significantly improve long-term career opportunities for selected fellows.
District-wise deployment plan
Under the CM Fellow Scheme, selected fellows will be posted in all districts of Uttar Pradesh. Initially, the number of appointments will be limited, but officials have indicated that the program may be expanded if the pilot phase proves successful.
Government’s objective behind the scheme
The main objective of the CM Fellow Scheme is to strengthen governance by involving skilled and trained youth in administrative work. The scheme also aims to bridge the gap between policy formulation and ground-level implementation.
If successful, the CM Fellow Scheme may be expanded further, making it a major opportunity for young professionals aspiring for government and policy-related careers in Uttar Pradesh.
