Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a strict stance against accidents and fatalities caused by Chinese manjha, the dangerous kite string, warning that any deaths resulting from its use will be the direct responsibility of the police and local administration.
During a high-level review, CM Yogi Adityanath directed authorities to dismantle the entire network involved in the production, sale, and distribution of Chinese manjha across the state. He emphasized that negligence by any official or employee will result in strict action, making it clear that fatalities caused by this hazardous material will be treated as serious offenses akin to homicide.
Statewide Enforcement and Monitoring
The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructed the appointment of nodal officers in each district to monitor the sale and use of Chinese manjha 24/7. These officers will oversee marketplaces, warehouses, transport channels, and online platforms, ensuring swift legal action against violators. “The goal is to completely eliminate the circulation of Chinese manjha in Uttar Pradesh,” CM Yogi Adityanath stated.
