UP Pharma Conclave 1.0: CM Yogi Adityanath announces zero tolerance policy, signs 11 MoUs with pharma companies, and highlights Lalitpur Pharma Park development. Read full update.
The Uttar Pradesh Pharma Conclave 1.0 was held in Lucknow on Tuesday, bringing together global investors, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak attended the event, which took place at the Taj Hotel. During the conclave, the state government signed MoUs with 11 pharmaceutical companies to collaborate on medical devices and new drug research.
CM Yogi Adityanath’s Address:
CM Yogi Adityanath highlighted that Encephalitis has been completely eradicated in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. He added that prior to 2017, the lack of security forced even established entrepreneurs to leave the region. “We have adopted a zero-tolerance policy, and now there will be no distinction between ‘insiders’ or ‘outsiders’ among offenders,” the CM said.

The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath further stated that Uttar Pradesh has received investment proposals worth ₹50 lakh crore so far. He emphasized that the state now has the lowest unemployment rate and a substantial land bank to support industrial growth. CM Yogi also noted that land has been acquired in Lalitpur for Uttar Pradesh’s first Pharma Park, with development plans already underway. Additionally, the state is equipped with a center-level laboratory to support pharmaceutical research and development.
Investor Confidence and Future Plans:
CM Yogi Adityanath assured investors and entrepreneurs that the government would provide full support for pharma sector investments in the state. He emphasized that these initiatives will strengthen UP’s industrial infrastructure and create a conducive environment for innovation in medical devices and drug development.
