Uttar Pradesh aims to become an AI hub as Yogi government hosts AI-Led Innovation & Capacity Building Conference with Google, Microsoft, Intel & global tech leaders to boost AI skills, digital learning, and employment opportunities.
The Uttar Pradesh Yogi government is taking a significant step to position the state as a hub for Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovation and future-ready skills. On January 20, 2026, the Yogi government will host the AI-Led Innovation and Capacity Building Conference at Hotel Centrum, organized under the IT & Electronics Department through the Center for e-Governance. The conference aims to foster innovation, skill development, and employment-oriented learning in AI, digital technologies, and emerging skill sectors.
Global Tech Leaders to Participate
Anurag Yadav, Principal Secretary of IT & Electronics, stated that the conference seeks to boost AI-based innovation across the state, empower youth and government officials with digital skills, and strengthen collaboration between industry, government, and academic institutions.
Representatives from leading national and international technology firms will share their expertise and solutions. The opening session will feature a presentation on the Bhashini platform by the Yogi Government of India, highlighting multilingual digital empowerment and the role of language technology in citizen services.
Following this, global companies like Microsoft, TCS, HCL, Google, Intel, and the Wadhwani Foundation will present their insights and case studies on AI, skill development, digital ecosystems, and industry-ready talent.

Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Leading Firms
Neha Jain, Special Secretary of the IT & Electronics Department, highlighted that the afternoon session would focus on the state’s IT policies, startup ecosystem, and opportunities for youth. A key highlight will be the presentation on NASSCOM’s Future Skills PRIME program and the MoU signing between the Center for e-Governance and NASSCOM, aimed at training youth in emerging technologies, developing industry-relevant skills, and creating employment opportunities.
In addition, organizations such as NVIDIA, Red Hat, 1M1B (One Million for One Billion) Foundation, CIFI Technologies, and Coursera will provide presentations on AI, cloud computing, open-source platforms, digital learning, and global skill initiatives.
AI Pragya Initiative: A Step Toward AI Literacy
In the final session, the IT & Electronics Department will showcase the AI Pragya initiative, a key step toward promoting AI literacy and capacity building in Uttar Pradesh. This initiative underscores the Yogi government’s commitment to equipping youth and professionals with the skills required for the AI-driven future.
With this conference, Uttar Pradesh is set to emerge as a leading AI innovation hub in India, creating avenues for talent development, industry collaboration, and technological advancement.
