Over 28,500 youths in Uttarakhand secured government jobs under CM Pushkar Singh Dhami’s leadership. Recruitment reforms and global employment initiatives in Japan and Germany have boosted youth employment.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that in the 54-month tenure of his government (from July 2021 to now), over 28,500 young individuals have been provided permanent government jobs across various departments. This amounts to an average of 518 youths employed per month, marking a significant milestone in state-level employment initiatives.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasized that the government is committed to filling all vacant positions and ensuring transparency in the recruitment process. Following the implementation of the country’s strictest anti-cheating law in February 2023, recruitment examinations have become faster and more efficient. What used to take 2-3 years is now completed within a year, ensuring timely appointments for eligible candidates.

Highlighting the government’s efforts beyond the state, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that under the Chief Minister’s Skill Development & Global Employment Scheme, youth are being provided employment opportunities in countries like Japan and Germany, particularly in nursing and automobile sectors. So far, 37 youths have secured jobs in Japan through this initiative.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the government is fully dedicated not only to filling vacant posts but also to connecting young people with self-employment opportunities, further boosting the employment landscape in Uttarakhand.
