Uttarakhand monitors 42 major infrastructure projects worth ₹3.50 lakh crore, with 96% work completed. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami highlights progress in roads, power, aviation, and education.
Pushkar Singh Dhami: Uttarakhand is witnessing significant infrastructure development as the state monitors 42 major projects worth a total investment of ₹3.50 lakh crore. Of these, 15 large-scale projects with a combined cost of ₹1.22 lakh crore are currently under detailed review through the state’s Pragati monitoring system.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that Uttarakhand is rapidly emerging as a key Himalayan state, with continuous work underway on projects related to connectivity, power generation, urban expansion, and pilgrimage infrastructure. Despite environmental sensitivities, the state’s Pragati monitoring system has become a central tool for overseeing timely project execution.

Out of the 42 projects, 10 have been completed and are operational, representing an investment of nearly ₹1 lakh crore. The remaining 32 projects are in various stages of implementation, with approximately ₹3.3 lakh crore currently being utilized. Overall, more than 96% of the total investment is actively engaged in construction and operational phases.
Among the completed projects, three initiatives costing ₹8,205 crore were reviewed under the PRAC framework. Sector-wise, these include four road and highway projects, three oil and gas projects, one power generation project, one aviation infrastructure project, and one educational facility. These projects have significantly enhanced road connectivity, energy supply, and aviation services across the state.
For the ongoing 32 projects, 12 are currently under close monitoring through the Pragati system, ensuring that implementation targets are met efficiently. The state government continues to prioritize transparent and timely execution of infrastructure projects to drive Uttarakhand’s sustainable growth and overall development.
