CM Pushkar Singh Dhami warns officials over delays in ₹6949 crore projects in Uttarakhand and sets strict 15 October deadline for completion.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has issued a strict warning to officials, stating that negligence or delay in development projects will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against those responsible.

The Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami  chaired a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat, where he assessed 12 major development projects worth ₹6,949.61 crore through the Progress Portal. The projects span key departments including transport, energy, public works, national highways, and the Border Roads Organisation.

CM Pushkar Singh Dhami directed that all projects with 50% or more completion must be finished by 15 October. He emphasized that accountability of officials will be fixed and any delay in execution will result in disciplinary action.

He further stated that project monitoring will now be conducted at multiple levels—monthly review by the Chief Minister and every 10 days by the Chief Secretary—to ensure timely implementation.

During the meeting, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted that these infrastructure projects are crucial for accelerating development in the state and supporting the vision of a “Developed India 2047” as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The reviewed projects include major road and highway expansions such as the Haridwar 4/6 lane spur project, Haridwar bypass upgradation, Kashipur bypass, Askot-Lipulekh road rehabilitation, Mana Pass route widening, and several Char Dham road packages.

Additionally, key energy and transport infrastructure projects such as 220 KV substations, interstate bus terminals, depots, and workshops were also reviewed.

The Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami instructed officials to resolve issues related to land acquisition, forest clearance, environmental approvals, and compensation within fixed timelines to avoid delays in execution.

He also directed district magistrates to closely monitor pending cases at the district level and ensure swift resolution to keep development works on track.
