Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed officials to take strict and immediate action against illegal encroachments across the state. Chairing a virtual review meeting with district magistrates from Khatima, the Chief Minister issued a series of instructions covering land management, disaster preparedness, and public service delivery.
The crackdown on encroachments is part of the government’s broader effort to strengthen governance and protect state-owned land.
Focus on Encroachment Removal and Land Law Enforcement
During the meeting, the Chief Minister instructed officials to intensify action against illegal occupation of government land. He also ordered detailed investigations into land records in Gram Sabha areas.
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasized that any land found to have been acquired illegally should be returned to the state government through swift legal action.
He further directed strict scrutiny of land transactions violating state land laws, ensuring accountability at all levels.
Action Against Illegal Properties and Verification Drives
The Chief Minister also ordered removal of encroachments from enemy properties and directed officials to review Waqf property data on the Umeed portal.
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami asked authorities to verify arms licences issued to out-of-state individuals and identify those with criminal backgrounds.
He also stressed regular inspections of public service centres and identification of ineligible beneficiaries using fake ration cards.

Disaster Preparedness Before Monsoon
With the monsoon season approaching, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami directed all districts to complete disaster preparedness measures in advance.
He instructed officials to hold pre-monsoon review meetings and ensure readiness to deal with heavy rainfall, landslides, and other natural disasters.
Focus on Char Dham Yatra Management
The Chief Minister also reviewed preparations for the Char Dham Yatra and instructed officials to ensure smooth arrangements for pilgrims.
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasized better traffic management, adequate drinking water facilities, and continuous monitoring of pilgrim feedback to improve services.
He also directed timely completion of infrastructure projects under the Manaskhand Yatra, including the Kainchi Dham bypass.
Agriculture and Rural Development Push
The review meeting also covered agricultural schemes such as Poly House, Apple Mission, and Kiwi Mission. The Chief Minister stressed that these initiatives should directly benefit farmers and improve rural incomes.
