Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami virtually inaugurated the Baikunth Chaturdashi Fair in Srinagar, Pauri, marking the commencement of the annual cultural festival that attracts devotees and tourists from across the region.
During the event, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted the state government’s key development initiatives in Srinagar and the broader Garhwal region. Among the announced projects are the ₹4.88-crore Roadways Bus Station with parking facilities, the Ganga Sanskriti Kendra on the Alaknanda River, and the ₹37-crore Madhi–Chauras–Jakhri drinking water pumping scheme. Srinagar has also been upgraded to a municipal corporation, aimed at enhancing civic governance and public services.

The CM Pushkar Singh Dhami outlined plans for further infrastructure development, including a new township near Belkedar and Belkandi, extended sewerage facilities across all localities under the Srinagar Municipal Corporation, and the transformation of the old Collectorate building into a heritage site. Additional projects include a pedestrian route to the Dhari Devi temple and the beautification of Gola Park.
Emphasizing education and healthcare, CM Dhami announced the establishment of a paramedical and nursing college, with land acquisition nearly complete. He also stated that a ₹25-crore Critical Care Block is under construction at the Base Hospital, benefiting patients from Pauri, Chamoli, Tehri, and Rudraprayag districts.
The Baikunth Chaturdashi Fair, combined with these development initiatives, reflects Uttarakhand’s commitment to cultural preservation, modern infrastructure, and quality public services in the Garhwal region.
