Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami announces Gadarpur-Khatima Bypass and Nausar Bridge, unveils development plans, boosts connectivity, education, and employment in the state.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced the construction of the Gadarpur-Khatima Bypass and a new bridge at Nausar, marking a significant step toward improving regional connectivity and boosting Uttarakhand’s infrastructure. The projects aim to create a comprehensive road network across the area, enhancing transportation efficiency and fostering economic growth.
Addressing the development plans, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami stated, “We are committed to building robust infrastructure that connects key regions efficiently. Along with the Gadarpur-Khatima Bypass and Nausar Bridge, the government is developing an extensive road network across the region to facilitate smooth transportation and accessibility.”
The government has also unveiled plans for a grand military memorial between Khatima and Tanakpur, with construction expected to begin soon. Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasized that education and social development remain a priority, highlighting the launch of M.Com and M.Sc. courses at Khatima Government College and the operation of Eklavya schools in tribal areas to ensure inclusive growth.
Uttarakhand Tops SDG Index and Reduces Unemployment
The CM Pushkar Singh Dhami pointed out that Uttarakhand has achieved first place nationwide in the NITI Aayog SDG Index for sustainable development and has emerged as a leader in youth employment. The state successfully reduced its unemployment rate by a record 4.4% within a year, surpassing the national average.

Preserving Culture and Ensuring Safety
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami reiterated the government’s commitment to preserving Uttarakhand’s cultural heritage and demographic integrity. Strict actions have been taken against anti-social practices such as land, love, and religious exploitation, alongside the enforcement of anti-riot and anti-conversion laws. Over 9,000 acres of government land were reclaimed from illegal occupation, 250 unauthorized madrasas were sealed, and more than 500 illegal structures removed. Operation “Kalnemi” has also been initiated to combat forces undermining Sanatan Dharma in the state.
Zero Tolerance on Corruption and Youth Empowerment
Dhami emphasized the government’s zero-tolerance policy on corruption, noting that over 200 individuals involved in corrupt practices have been imprisoned over the past four years. Additionally, strict anti-cheating measures in exams have enabled over 26,000 youths to secure government jobs, strengthening the state’s path toward transparent governance.
Young Talent Honored
During the event, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami also honored achievers including Dr. Rachit Saxena, Advocate Dr. Chanchal Singh, and young prodigy Samaira Malik. Five-year-old Samaira set a remarkable record by naming all Indian states and their capitals in just 41 seconds, becoming the youngest participant to achieve this feat. Her father, Osho Malik, was present to witness the achievement.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami concluded by expressing confidence that Uttarakhand’s continued progress is guided by the blessings of Chhathi Maiya and Lord Surya Narayan, and reinforced the government’s commitment to making the state a model of development and prosperity.
