Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami launches a one-month special campaign to resolve pending land disputes across the state, ensuring speedy and fair settlement for citizens.
In a major initiative to address long-pending land disputes, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has instructed all district officials to expedite the resolution process. Under his direction, the state government will conduct a one-month special campaign across Uttarakhand to ensure speedy and effective settlement of land-related conflicts.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasized that the campaign aims to minimize pending land disputes and, wherever possible, bring them down to zero. The Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan and Police Director General Deepam Seth have been directed to prepare a comprehensive list of all identified land disputes in the districts and immediately begin resolution proceedings.
“The ongoing land disputes directly affect the daily lives of citizens,” CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said. “Delays not only cause mental and financial distress but can also impact law and order and social harmony. Special Focus on Sensitive and Complex Cases
During the campaign, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has instructed officials to pay special attention to sensitive and complex cases. He stressed that in situations that could potentially lead to tension, administration and police must act promptly to prevent any unpleasant incidents.
Where required, special committees will be formed at the tehsil level, chaired by the respective Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs). These committees will also include police officers (Circle Officers) and officials from the land records department. This integrated approach ensures coordination between revenue, administration, and police for a swift and effective resolution.
Citizens to Benefit from Faster Dispute Settlement
The Uttarakhand government expects this special campaign to not only resolve pending land disputes but also significantly reduce the likelihood of future conflicts. Citizens will benefit from faster dispute resolution, and the campaign is expected to enhance law and order and social harmony across the state.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami further warned that negligence or delays by any official will not be tolerated, underscoring the government’s commitment to deliver timely and efficient outcomes.
This one-month intensive drive reflects the Uttarakhand government’s proactive approach toward ensuring justice for its citizens while strengthening administrative accountability and trust.
