Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has directed the Education Department to work in line with long-term goals set under the Vision 2047 Education Policy Haryana, aiming to transform the state’s education system into a modern, skill-based, and employment-oriented framework.
During a review meeting on the departmental 5-year implementation roadmap, the Chief Minister emphasized strengthening higher education and ensuring quality and job-oriented learning opportunities for students. He said that the Vision 2047 Education Policy Haryana is designed to make Haryana a leader in the education sector by 2047.
Target of 50% Gross Enrollment Ratio by 2047
Under the Vision 2047 Education Policy Haryana, the state government has set a target to achieve a 50 percent Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) by the year 2047. The Chief Minister also instructed officials to speed up the development of modern cultural college campuses by 2028.
He highlighted that the Vision 2047 Education Policy Haryana will focus on aligning education with industry needs, ensuring students are prepared for future job markets.

Focus on Skill-Based Education
The government plans to introduce 50 percent skill-based courses across educational institutions. This major reform under the Vision 2047 Education Policy Haryana aims to equip students with practical knowledge and industry-relevant skills.
CM Saini stressed that skill development will play a key role in shaping the future workforce under the Vision 2047 Education Policy Haryana, making youth more employable and competitive.
Financial Support for Universities and Reducing Dropout Rate
The Chief Minister announced that universities showing excellent performance will receive grants of ₹5 crore each. Additionally, special attention will be given to reducing the dropout rate among girl students. These initiatives are also part of the Vision 2047 Education Policy Haryana framework.
Strengthening Technical Education and Infrastructure
The meeting also focused on promoting technical education and strengthening the infrastructure of educational institutions. CM Saini said that the Vision 2047 Education Policy Haryana will bring structural reforms to modernize the education system and improve overall learning outcomes.
