AAP MP Raghav Chadha hails Blinkit, Zepto, and other quick-commerce platforms for pausing 10-minute delivery claims, calling it a win for delivery workers’ safety and public welfare.
AAP MP Raghav Chadha welcomed the recent decision by major quick-commerce platforms, including Blinkit and Zepto, to pause their claims of delivering groceries within 10 minutes, calling it a win for delivery workers and public safety.
In a post on X, Raghav Chadha wrote, “Satyamev Jayate. Together, we have won,” following the removal of the controversial “10-minute delivery” branding. The MP has been a vocal advocate for gig workers over the past few months, raising concerns both in Parliament and publicly about the pressure such delivery promises place on riders.
Raghav Chadha praised the Central Government’s intervention in halting the branding, describing it as “timely, decisive, and compassionate.” He emphasized that the change was critical for the safety of delivery partners and others on the road. “When ‘10 minutes’ is printed on a rider’s uniform and a timer runs on the customer’s screen, the pressure is real, constant, and dangerous,” he said.
The AAP MP Raghav Chadha highlighted the human side of the issue, sharing that over the past months he has interacted with hundreds of delivery workers. “Many are overworked, underpaid, and risking their lives to fulfil unrealistic promises,” Chadha noted.

Background: Worker Strikes and Platform Criticism
The issue had escalated after delivery workers went on strike over the New Year’s period, demanding fair pay, predictable rules, social security, and safe working conditions. Raghav Chadha strongly criticised platforms such as Zomato and Blinkit, especially their founder Deepinder Goyal, for calling striking workers “miscreants” and turning a labour demand into a law-and-order issue.
In response, Goyal claimed on X that the platforms delivered at record speed on New Year’s Eve despite the strikes, adding that local law enforcement helped maintain order during the period.
Raghav Chadha’s activism, which included spending a day as a Blinkit delivery agent and hosting a delivery worker for lunch, played a role in highlighting the dangers and pressures faced by riders. The recent halting of the “10-minute delivery” claims has been widely praised as a victory for worker safety and fair practice in the fast-growing quick-commerce sector.
My message to our delivery riders on this big victory, and to every citizen who supported the cause. pic.twitter.com/aiDHkBSnMK
