The year 2025 proved to be a landmark period for Uttar Pradesh, as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s administration took several historic and far-reaching decisions. These initiatives directly benefited farmers, youth, women, laborers, teachers, and marginalized communities across the state.

From agriculture to industry, education to employment, and social welfare to investment, the Yogi government’s policies strengthened Uttar Pradesh’s economy and improved the quality of life for its citizens. Cashless Medical Facility for 900,000 Teachers

CM Yogi Adityanath announced a historic initiative to provide cashless medical treatment to nearly 900,000 teachers, including basic, secondary, and higher education teachers, Shiksha Mitras, instructors, and cooks. This step ensured better health security for teachers and their families.

Uttar Pradesh Outsource Service Corporation for Outsourced Staff

To protect outsourced employees from exploitation, the UP Outsource Service Corporation Limited was established. This ensures transparent recruitment, timely salary, EPF-ESI benefits, a minimum wage of ₹16,000–₹20,000, and job security.

Low-Interest Loans for Small and Marginal Farmers

Under the Chief Minister Krishak Samriddhi Yojana, small and marginal farmers can now avail loans at just 6% interest through the UP Cooperative Village Development Bank (LDB). Previously, the interest rate was 11.5%, with the remaining cost borne by the state government.

Record Sugarcane Price Increase

For the 2025-26 crushing season, sugarcane prices were increased by ₹30 per quintal, benefiting millions of farmers. Early sugarcane now fetches ₹400, common ₹390, and inferior varieties ₹355 per quintal.

Historic Police Recruitment in UP

60,244 police personnel were recruited in UP, with over 12,000 women selected. The event, attended by Home Minister Amit Shah and CM Yogi Adityanath, is considered one of the largest and most transparent police recruitments in India.

‘Developed UP’ Campaign Launched

The government launched the ‘Samarth Uttar Pradesh – Developed Uttar Pradesh @2047’ campaign to drive holistic development across the state. Citizens are invited to provide suggestions through the Samarth UP Portal, focusing on education, health, agriculture, and urban-rural development.

Additional Stamp Duty Relief for Women

The state government increased the stamp duty relief for women from properties up to ₹10 lakh to those worth up to ₹1 crore, saving women up to ₹1 lakh and empowering them financially.

20% Reservation for Agniveers in Police and PAC

Agniveers are granted 20% reservation in UP Police and PAC recruitment, securing future employment opportunities for youth serving in national defense.

Enhanced Support for Poor Daughters through Mass Marriage Scheme

The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s Mass Marriage Scheme increased the marriage grant from ₹51,000 to ₹1 lakh and raised the income limit to ₹3 lakh, benefiting thousands of underprivileged families.

Historic Cabinet Meeting During Maha Kumbh

CM Yogi Adityanath held a historic cabinet meeting at the Maha Kumbh city, setting a precedent after Ayodhya. Following key decisions, the cabinet participated in a collective Sangam bath.

Integration of Family ID with Old Age Pension Scheme

The old-age pension scheme is now linked to Family ID, ensuring automatic identification and direct credit to the account once beneficiaries turn 60, starting with pilot projects in Amethi, Kasganj, Gorakhpur, Lalitpur, and Basti.

Institutions Named After Great Leaders

Hostels, textile parks, leather parks, seed parks, and urban libraries have been established in the names of Baba Saheb Ambedkar, Lokmata Ahilyabai, Sant Kabirdas, Sant Ravidas, Chaudhary Charan Singh, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, promoting social harmony and development.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee-Chiving Scholarship Scheme

Talented students from UP will receive scholarships to pursue master’s degrees in the UK at prestigious institutions such as Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College, and LSE. Each year, five students will benefit from full scholarships.

Rani Lakshmibai Scooter Scheme for Meritorious Girls

The government launched the Rani Lakshmibai Scooter Scheme to provide free scooters to meritorious girls, especially from remote villages, ensuring they can continue education without transport issues.

UP Employment Mission for Job Creation

The UP Employment Mission was established to create national and international employment opportunities for youth, facilitating placements across India and abroad.

Complete Exemption from Mandi Fees for Flower Farmers

Flower farmers are now exempted from mandi fees, benefiting small, marginal, and seasonal flower cultivators.

Formation of Kashi-Vindh Regional Development Authority (KVRDA)

Following the SCR model, the KVRDA covers seven districts, promoting religious tourism, cultural heritage, industrial growth, and improved connectivity.

Historic Decision for Nomadic and Denotified Communities

Boards, housing, and integration into government schemes were established for nomadic communities such as Nat, Banjara, Bawariya, Sasi, Kanjad, Kalbelia, Sapera, and Jogi, ensuring their mainstream participation, including police recruitment.

Historic Minimum Wage Increase for Agricultural Laborers

The daily minimum wage for agricultural laborers was raised to ₹252/day (₹6,552/month), improving rural income and living standards.
