Zimbabwe Cricket has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20 International series against India. The Chevrons have made a few key changes, bringing back experienced players while also rewarding young talent ahead of the important home series.
All-rounder Wessly Madhevere and fast bowler Newman Nyamhuri have returned to the squad, while wicketkeeper-batter Tafadzwa Tsiga has received his maiden T20I call-up.
The series will be played in Harare, with matches scheduled on July 23, July 25, and July 26.
Sikandar Raza to Lead Zimbabwe Against India
Veteran all-rounder Sikandar Raza will captain the Zimbabwe side in the three-match T20I contest. The team management has placed its trust in Raza’s experience as Zimbabwe prepare to face the reigning world champions.
Zimbabwe will look to continue their strong performances at home after a successful multi-format campaign against Bangladesh. Although they lost the T20I series, they secured an impressive Test victory and won the ODI series 2-1.

Wessly Madhevere and Newman Nyamhuri Make Comebacks
Wessly Madhevere returns to the squad after missing Zimbabwe’s previous T20I assignment against Bangladesh. His experience as a batting all-rounder could provide stability to the middle order.
Meanwhile, pacer Newman Nyamhuri has also been recalled after recovering from an injury concern that kept him out of the Bangladesh series.
Fast bowler Tanaka Chivanga has retained his place after initially joining the squad as Nyamhuri’s replacement.
Tafadzwa Tsiga Receives First T20I Opportunity
Young wicketkeeper-batter Tafadzwa Tsiga has been rewarded for his consistent performances with his first-ever T20 International call-up.
