The subreddit, provocatively titled ‘F* Zepto’**, was launched in January 2025 and has already amassed more than 9,200 members in under five months. It has become a hub for disgruntled customers to voice complaints and expose what they describe as “shady app practices” by the company.
Zepto, founded in 2021 by Stanford dropouts Aadit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra, promises delivery of groceries and essentials in 10 minutes or less, competing with platforms like Blinkit and Instamart. However, the platform has come under increasing scrutiny from users alleging dark patterns, hidden fees, price manipulation, misleading discounts, and unethical delivery charges.
According to the subreddit’s description, the group aims to “hold Zepto accountable” by encouraging transparency and consumer awareness. Posts on the forum frequently showcase screenshots, billing irregularities, and complaints regarding customer service, with some users calling for regulatory action.
HT.com has reached out to the company for a response regarding the allegations. This story will be updated once an official statement is received.
