CM Bhajanlal Sharma : The process of auction of 22 blocks of Major Minerals in the state has been started. Principal Secretary, Mines and Geology, Shri T.Ravikant informed that with the start of the financial year, tenders have been invited for auction of 14 mining lease and 8 composite license blocks out of 22 blocks in a planned manner till 21st May with issue of tender notice on 16th April. After scrutiny of documents, bids will be placed by the bidders on the Government of India e-platform MSTC from the first week of June as per schedule, he said.
Shri Ravikant informed that out of 14 blocks of mining lease of limestone, 11 blocks in Jaisalmer, 2 blocks in Nagaur and one block in Kota are being auctioned. Apart from this, 8 composite license blocks namely Shahpura Block and Kurtiyan Block of Beawar, Chauth Ka Barwara of Sawaimadhopur and Base Metal in Western Samodi of Bhilwara, one block each of Siliosis Earth in Mandai 4 and Mandai 5 of Jaisalmer, Fluorite in Chatwara Block of Jalore and one block of Magnesium in Garia Block of Banswara are being auctioned.
Under the leadership of CM Bhajanlal Sharma, Rajasthan has become the leading state in the country in the auction of mineral blocks. With the auction of a record 34 major mineral blocks in the last financial year, 88 major mineral blocks have been auctioned in the state since the auction provisions of all mineral blocks by the Central Government since 2015. With the start of the new financial year and the process of e-auction of blocks, this financial year is set to create a new record by auctioning more than 34 blocks of last year.
Director Mines Deepak Tanwar said that during the first phase on the Government of India portal MSTC, only those bidders who fulfil the qualifications mentioned in the Net Worth and Auction Rules will be able to submit bids in the second phase. Details of the blocks proposed for auction and detailed information are available on the Departmental website and M.S.T.C portal.
