Chief Minister inaugurates three-day first Gaja Ghantakarna Mahotsav from Ghandiyal Devta Temple Gaja Darshan of Haridwar and Himalayas CM Pushkar Dhami inaugurated the first Gaja Ghantakarna Mahotsav-2025 at Atal Utkrisht Raikaja Gaja, Tehri on Tuesday. The Chief Minister prayed for the prosperity of the state by offering prayers at Ghantakarna Temple in Gaja and garlanded the statue of state movement martyr Belmati Chauhan and extended greetings and best wishes to all on the occasion of Mahotsav.
The Chief Minister said that such festivals provide unparalleled support in furthering the rich culture and tradition. Gaja Ghantakarna Temple is one of the mythological temples. After the circumambulation of Badrinath, the second circumambulation is done here. From the point of view of tourism this is a very important place from where Haridwar and Himalaya can be seen. He said that by organising the festival, a new foundation of development is being laid here, which is a commendable effort to carry forward the historically rich culture. CM Pushkar said that the Prime Minister’s vision of a developed India by 2047 will be fulfilled only when villages, panchayats, regions, districts and Uttarakhand are developed. The state government is trying for an alternative resolution and no one can stop Uttarakhand from becoming the best state in India.
India’s economy has moved from 11th to 4th position and will emerge as the third economy by 2027 and India will become a world leader and leader. Today, under the able leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India’s culture and heritage are in Amrit Kaal. From the grand and divine temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya to the Mahakal temple in Ujjain, the master plan of Badrinath in Uttarakhand, the reconstruction work in Kedarnath, the all-weather road as well as many other works are being done in remote rural areas to advance agriculture, horticulture, energy, cultural heritage, infrastructure, etc.
CM Pushkar said that polytechnic at a cost of about Rs 30 crore, work on Henvalghati pumping drinking water scheme at a cost of Rs 24 crore, nagar panchayat office, gaushala, rest house have been done in Gaja. The products of One District One Product, House of Himalaya brand are being manufactured to strengthen the local economy. The excellent products made by the sisters associated with self-help groups who are adept in skill development are also leaving the foreign companies behind. Farm Machinery, Apple Mission, New Tourism Policy, New Film Policy, Solar Self Employment, Tourism, Agriculture, etc. The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Uttarakhand is moving towards becoming a leading state.
The state government has taken several landmark decisions, including the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) law, anti-copying law, conversion law, strict land laws, etc. He worked on zero tolerance towards corruption. More than 100 copying mafias have been sent to jail by bringing the anti-copying law. About 23 thousand youth have got success in jobs. On this occasion, Forest, Technical Education, Language and Election Minister Subodh Uniyal welcomed the Chief Minister and mentioned about the achievements of the state government and said that rural areas are developing rapidly under the leadership of the successful Chief Minister of the state. On this occasion, a cultural programme was presented by the school children which included songs, skits, poems and speeches. For which the Chief Minister thanked the parents of the children and the organisers and said that the attire and folk culture of Uttarakhand also have to be taken forward. The mothers and sisters of Uttarakhand have preserved our culture by going abroad. Stalls have been set up by various departments in the Mahotsav, through which people are being benefitted from public welfare schemes. On the occasion, the Chief Minister also felicitated local meritorious children who have been selected in MBBS, IIT, NIT, Indian Navy etc.
CM Pushkar announced that a road in the village of Shaheed Vikram Singh Negi would be named after him.
